Citizens who disagree with the decision making of the city and handling of their affairs by the system can contact the department of counseling at the internal auditors office.
The internal auditor´s office also receives and processes information from city staff, contractors and the public about breach of law, mismanagement, negligence or mistakes by city officials and about abnormal political meddling of elected representatives in the affairs and services of the City of Reykjavík.
